Busy, busy, busy

I have been a serious blog slacker lately, my apologies.  We have been spending quite a bit of time outside now that the weather is some what tolerable.  If we aren't outside, you'll most likely find us hanging out in the bathroom waiting for Kinley to go potty.  We are very happy to report that she is wearing her big girl undies and doing fairly well, just down to the occasional accident.  So a big yay for Kinley.  I think I might actually miss spending all of this time in the bathroom with her, she says the most hilarious things while she's on the potty.  She is constantly saying things like, "relax, be patient, I don't have time for this, chillax", etc.  My absolute favorite is when she told our adopted family that she made a "pine cone poop" and it was "so big".  Aahh, still makes me laugh.

We are also going to try our hands at gardening this year.  I am trying not to get my hopes up too high for this garden since I have managed to kill every plant I have ever owned.  Luckily we have a few people around us that are sharing their gardening skills with us, so fingers crossed for some fresh vegetables from the garden.  We had to kill off the grass and then basically rototill it to death.  We'll be planting soon, hopefully, if the weather will cooperate and warm up a bit.
Kinley's new favorite thing to do is play golf in the backyard with her daddy.  She was able to earn a nice little set of clubs for herself.  She is surprisingly good at it and is learning how to hit the ball pretty well.  I, of course, am making her spend equal amounts of time playing softball with me and I am happy to report that she is showing some real potential, quite a hitter.  Kinley can often be heard singing her own praises, such as, "I'm the winner", or "I'm the greatest hitter", she's very humble too.

Rich's friend Brett sent him this awesome shirt.  If you can't tell, it is Carlton from "The Fresh Prince".  The shirt is at least 10 times brighter in real life.  I tried to tell Rich that it really didn't match with his royal blue shorts, but in reality, it doesn't really match with much else.  I just wanted this particular Rich outfit documented somewhere.  I'm sure those of you out there that have had your ties mocked will enjoy this.

Looks like fun; I'm glad Kinley is proud of her bodily functions :) That shirt is awesome; I just want to see him wear the tie we gave him.

Hey Marlyce! I do love reading your blog! Kinley is so funny and I love the way you write about the funny things she does! I also have to say that I love Rich's shirt--Carlton was such a stud! Ha ha! It looks like Kinley got some sweet skills from her parents! She will be a sports star in no time! I also agree with you that traveling alone with a child is unsafe!

We are also trying to do a garden this year. I'm not expecting much, but I hope at least the zuchinni will grow:)

Hi Marlyce! I am laughing out loud about the comment on your hubbies outfit... so funny! And I wish you the best of luck with the potty training. I'm in the same boat right now. It has actually be surprisingly easy with this one... so far.

Marlyce if you really want to feel good about yourself, plant radishes they are a no fail. I plant them every year although I can't stand them...but they grow, that's the important part.
If your garden needs more sun, just adjust the reflective angle of Rich's shirt that should do the trick...wow!
