A week in the dark

Here is an update for those of you that have inquired about our well being. We have some how managed to survive a week without the internet. No, this was not some sort of survival challenge, it was merely us standing up to the local cable company and telling them they are taking way too much of our money. So after waiting a week for a different internet provider to get us connected again, we are back. Please cue the choir of angels.

I had no idea how dependent I am on the internet. I should have been charging somebody a quarter for every time I said "if I had the internet I could tell you" this week. I could have made like a dollar. Kinley and I did find some new things to keep ourselves entertained with this week. After a little reflection, I have decided that for a stay at home mom, the internet is like oxygen to me, I can't live without it. There were moments when I thought I was actually going to have to handwrite a letter and stick it in the mail...yes younger readers, that is actually how people used to communicate.

Instead of being in touch with the outside world, I decided to plunge head first into Kinley's delusional version of the world. I decided to make her many friends my friends and I didn't even put up much of a fight when they had to eat lunch with us. I think I have grown weary of stating the obvious, stuffed animals can't eat, and I happily served them snacks and lunch. In case you were wondering, Kinley does cram their faces into their food and makes eating sounds, then I get to eat what is left. At least now I have the internet again so I can research if this is healthy behavior.

Yes, that is a second high chair, sometimes we have a very large crowd and need the extra seats.
